How to play Hexpelled

Hexpelled is a free multiplayer arena game for 2 to 8 wizards, right in your browser. You don't win by draining health: you win by knocking everyone else into the lava. Every hit you take makes the next one throw you further, and the arena keeps shrinking until one wizard is left.

The goal

Each round, everyone starts on a stone platform surrounded by lava. Push rivals off the edge with your spells. Lava burns fast but doesn't kill on touch, so a quick escape can save you. The last wizard standing wins the round; the first to win 3 rounds wins the match.

Controls

📱 Phone and tablet

Drag anywhere on the left half of the screen to move.
Tap the fire button to throw a fireball at the nearest wizard.
Drag from a spell button to aim it yourself, then let go to cast.
Tap Blink to jump back to safety.

🖱️ Computer

Right-click where you want to go (or use the arrow keys: switch it in Settings).
Aim with the mouse. Q throws a fireball at the cursor.
R blinks you toward the cursor and stops your slide.
Other spells sit on W, E, A, S, D and F once you buy them.

Spells

You start with Fireball and Blink. Between rounds, spend the gold you earned on new spells or upgrades (up to level 3: stronger, longer reach, shorter cooldown).

Runes

Glowing runes appear on the platform during a fight. Walk over one to grab it:

Haste: Move faster for a few seconds.
Power: Your hits knock harder for a while.
Heal: Patch up some of the damage you've taken.

Tips

The more damage you've taken, the further you fly. Play safe when you're hurt.
Push enemies toward the nearest edge, not across the middle.
Save Blink for when you're knocked out: it's your way back from the lava.
Shield sends fireballs back at whoever threw them.
A Gravity Well just past the edge drags people into the lava.
Watch the platform: it starts shrinking after about 20 seconds.
